Supatra “Natty” Sasuphan from Thailand has thick hair all over her body. In 2010, she was named the “world’s hairiest teenager” when her photos were featured by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Natty suffers from a rare and incurable disease – Ambras syndrome.
There are only 50 known cases of this disease. The disease is caused by a chromosomal disorder and has been known since the Middle Ages. Before the disease was studied, such people were called “werewolves.”
Supatra has thick hair on her face, ears, arms, legs and back. She has tried laser surgery, but it hasn’t stopped the hair growth.
However, unlike most people with this diagnosis, Natty is a self-confident girl.
She was one of the most popular students in her school and everyone wanted to be her friend.
Despite her unusual appearance, Supatra grew up like most of her peers. She loves swimming, dancing to her favorite music and spending time with friends.
Supatra dreams of becoming a doctor to help sick people.
