Walking around the flea market, I found this old chair 🤔 Although it was covered in faded fabric, with noticeable scuffs on the armrests, and the legs had darkened with time, I still decided to give it a second life 😍 I’m sharing the result via the link in the comments ⬇️⬇️

One day, while walking through a flea market, I came across an old chair. It was covered in faded fabric, with noticeable wear on the armrests, and the legs were darkened with age.
Many would have passed it by, but I immediately saw the potential in it. And since I am great at handicrafts and restoration, the decision came naturally – I’ll take it!

Before I started transforming it, I took the chair apart, admired the frame, and figured out how much fabric I would need. My calculations showed that I would need 2 meters 40 centimeters for the upholstery.
Initially, I chose olive fabric – I thought that its calm shade would fit perfectly into the interior. But the more I looked at the chair, the more I realized: it lacks brightness!

In the end, I added purple to the project – it brought freshness and contrast.
I especially wanted to keep the side covers of the chair – their original design was part of its character. So I just carefully updated them, cleaned them and strengthened them.
For the pillows I wanted to do something special.

The solution came unexpectedly – I used regular 5mm cord from the hardware store, piping it with pieces of fabric. This piping gave the pillows a stylish, finished look.
The only thing left to do was work on the legs. I didn’t want to just paint them – I wanted to emphasize the natural texture of the wood.

So I treated them with a special oil and then coated them with wax to preserve the texture and give them a slight shine.
After several days of painstaking work, the chair was unrecognizable!

How do you like this transformation? 😊
