Ina Canabaro Lucas, the world’s oldest person, has died at the age of 116, according to LongeviQuest, an organization that verifies the authenticity of information about long-livers.
“LongeviQuest is saddened to announce the death of Ina Canabaro Lucas, the world’s oldest person, in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil,” the organization said in a statement.

The organization said the woman died on April 30 at the age of 116 years and 326 days.
According to the organization, the title of the world’s oldest person has passed to 115-year-old Ethel Caterham from Great Britain.
