I thought I knew every corner of my garden. But that day, when I picked up a simple leaf, I experienced a shock.
There, in the shadows, lay tiny, shiny clusters, almost invisible.
It was at that moment that I realized that what I was seeing could put my animals at risk… and even my family.
What I discovered taught me to be more vigilant and never let my guard down. There is real danger hidden behind these seemingly harmless little things.

I quickly realized that these eggs were a real alarm signal: ticks were nearby.
My first rule when finding them is to never touch them with bare hands.
I always wear gloves, carefully collect them, put them in a sealed bag and dispose of them – either by burning or freezing them for a few days.

I also disinfect the area and stay alert around it because where there are eggs there are usually other mites.
To prevent them from returning, I take a few simple measures: I mow the lawn regularly and trim the bushes to remove their hiding places.

I also plant pest-repellent herbs such as lavender, rosemary, peppermint and garlic, which naturally repellent pests and add fragrance to the garden.
After every walk, I examine my pets, especially behind the ears, under the paws and around the neck, to detect ticks before they attach.

Finally, I control humidity by improving drainage and eliminating standing water, as mites love damp areas.
By acting quickly when the eggs were discovered and maintaining my garden carefully, I was able to reduce the risks significantly.
If the problem persists, I don’t hesitate to contact professionals.
