During the wedding, the dog unexpectedly bit the bride on the hand. When the groom realized why, he decided to cancel the ceremony.
The scene seemed like a fairy tale: an excited couple surrounded by loved ones, a garden filled with sunlight – and in the middle of it all, their dog. A golden retriever with a kind look, who had been accompanied by the groom since childhood.
He raised this dog with his mother, who passed away a few years ago. He was a living link to the past, a comfort in difficult times.
And on this day he was supposed to be just a witness.
But when the bride leaned over to pet the dog for a memorable photo, everything went wrong. The animal growled — and bit her hand sharply.
Pain, panic, screams. The groom is in shock, trying to understand what happened.
Why? His dog had never bitten anyone. It was a gentle, patient animal, accustomed to children, to crowds, to awkward movements.

The bride was part of the staff. She was never proud, but her name was mentioned in the investigation.
And her face, her voice, her gestures… all of this was enough to awaken an old trauma in the dog.
He didn’t forget her.
When the groom learned the truth, his heart broke. Now he understood his dog’s strange behavior over the past months – her anxiety, her avoidance of looking at the young woman.
