Parents make baby ‘apologize’ to plane passengers after flight, causing backlash.

Let’s be honest: not everyone is excited to be stuck in a soaring metal tube with a crying baby. Some people grit their teeth, others put on noise-cancelling headphones, and a few simply begin silently planning their childless future. However, some parents do make an effort to be considerate. In fact, some parents encourage their babies to express apologize for the chaos.

Then there are Ava’s parents, who decided to take it a step further by having their five-month-old infant offer an apology. Yes, she is still in the womb, but it appears that no age is too young for a public relations campaign. Her mother, Hannah Chestnut, placed the video online, and four million views later, the internet had thoughts, but they were extremely controversial.

A mom has gone viral after sharing a video of her husband and baby in the airport.

One mother went viral on Instagram after posting a video of her husband forcing their 5-month-old daughter to “apologize” to passengers after a long-haul flight — because, apparently, it’s never too early to start conducting public relations damage control.

Hannah Chestnut, who manages the Instagram account @themumcrew, shared the hilarious video following the family’s 8-hour flight from London to Atlanta. In the video, her husband holds daughter Ava as she walks down the aisle, confronting her “victims” one by one.

“We told her she had to apologize to everyone face-to-face for what she put them through on the flight,” Chestnut said in the post, which went viral. The video received over 4 million views and prompted thousands of comments.

Parents just wanted to turn the mess into a joke, but it went too far.

In the footage, Chestnut’s husband, Joseph, is seen standing by the aircraft door, clutching baby Ava while other passengers pass by. The tiny “offender” smiled sweetly at the tourists, like a mini celebrity on a meet-and-greet tour.

“Ava kept smiling at the other passengers as they exited the plane. So I decided to film it as if she was apologizing to everyone,” Chestnut explained in an interview.

The baby actually had nothing to be sorry for.

For the record, Ava was not a midair menace. Chestnut claims she “did surprisingly well” on the long-haul journey, implying that the apology tour was entirely tongue-in-cheek.

But Fate has a sense of humour. After landing in Atlanta, the family boarded a connecting aircraft, where the meltdown occurred.

“Ironically, on the flight right after the one we got off of in the video, Ava was super loud and upset,” Chestnut told me. “So that was the flight we actually should’ve filmed the video after.”

In other words, the real in-flight drama had ideal comedic timing—but not camera timing.

The viral video quickly turned from “just cute” to a controversial and debatable one.

Unsurprisingly, the internet reacted strongly to Chestnut’s cheeky video. The comments on the Instagram film ranged from lovely “awwws” and baby fever overload to real keyboard warrior-level wrath.

One user said, “Fun fact… Not everyone feels the same about your kids as YOU do. I don’t want to see you after the flight you antagonized me on 🙄”

Another person commented, “How are all those people walking past without smiling at that beautiful baby?”

Someone wrote, “Narcissism is real. We bothered you the whole flight, and now we’re going to do it some more because obviously the world revolves around us 🙄”

Another one added, “I’ll never apologize for a baby being a baby.”

Someone joked, “She looked at everyone like ‘and I’ll do it again, watch this’ 🤣”
