A prisoner asked to see his dog before his execution: in the morning, guards opened the cell door and froze in horror 😲😱

In 1947, an incident occurred in the city prison that no one can forget to this day.
In cell no. 3 sat a prisoner with only a few days left to live. He was found guilty of treason, though he insisted to the very end that he was innocent. But no one listened to his words.
On September 16, he was supposed to say goodbye to this world in public.
On his last night, the guard entered his cell. A man sat on the cold floor, his hands clasped around his knees, shivering from cold and despair.
“Hey, wake up,” the guard said. “You have one last wish.
” “Let me out. I’m not a traitor…
” “That won’t happen. Think of something else: food, wine, a priest…”
The prisoner raised his eyes, full of tears:

“My last wish is to see my shepherd. I want to say goodbye to her.”
The guard frowned, but after much thought he finally agreed.
An hour later, a dog was brought into the cell. As soon as she saw her owner, she immediately rushed towards him, wagging her tail, jumping up and down, and licking his hands. The man hugged her so tightly, as if he feared it would be his last. He stroked her, snuggled into her fur, and cried quietly.
The dog spent the whole night in his owner’s cell, but in the morning, when the guards entered the cell to take the prisoner away, they saw something terrible 😱😲

They were together for a few minutes. The night passed. The dog stayed close the whole time, not letting anyone near its owner.
In the morning, when they came for the prisoner, the guards froze. The man lay on the floor, breathless, and next to him, with his muzzle buried in his chest, lay a German shepherd. It didn’t retreat an inch, growling at anyone who tried to come closer.
They said later that his heart couldn’t take it. But the whole town remembered something else: the faithful dog who warmed his master in his final moments and refused to let anyone disturb their farewell.
The man died not as a traitor, but as a loyal friend with a kind heart.
