A woman from South Dakota experienced a life-changing surprise when she gave birth to triplets after thinking she was being rushed to the hospital for kidney stones. Dannette Glitz, who had previously suffered from kidney stones, assumed the sharp pains she was feeling were the result of another episode.

“When I started getting pains, I figured it was kidney stones because I’ve gone through them before,” Dannette told KSFY. Little did she know, she was actually in labor — and about to welcome three babies at once.
What makes this story even more remarkable is that Dannette had no idea she was pregnant. She didn’t experience common pregnancy symptoms such as morning sickness or noticeable fetal movement, making the eventual delivery all the more astonishing. “You don’t ever see triplets being conceived naturally, let alone going 34 weeks without knowing,” Dannette explained. “So, everyone’s like I can’t believe it. We’re still in shock, trust me.”

The triplets — one boy and two girls — were all delivered via C-section within just four minutes of each other, each weighing approximately four pounds. The speedy birth left Dannette, her husband Austin, and their family in awe. Dannette and Austin, who have been married for 12 years, already had two children, but the sudden arrival of three more transformed their lives in an instant.
“I ended up having triplets — 1 boy, 2 girls. That’s the story. I never felt movement; I never got morning sickness; nothing!” Dannette shared, as noted on a fundraiser page for the family.

The miraculous birth of these triplets has captured attention for its rarity and the sheer surprise it delivered. Naturally conceived triplets are uncommon, and for Dannette to carry them nearly to full term without knowing highlights the incredible unpredictability of pregnancy.
