12-Year-Old’s Emotional Performance Goes Viral — Even Calum Scott Reacts: “Where is this kid so I can hug him right now?!”

Aiden, a 12-year-old boy, captured the hearts of millions after a video of him singing at his parents’ vow renewal ceremony went viral on TikTok — even catching the attention of singer Calum Scott himself.

The touching moment was filmed by Danielle Tufano and posted on April 12. The 3-minute video quickly exploded online, garnering over 4.6 million views and 871,000 likes. It shows Aiden performing Calum Scott’s “You Are the Reason,” a song he chose to honor the love and bond between his parents.

“My mom asked me to sing at the ceremony to celebrate their promises again,” Aiden shared. “I didn’t hesitate — I knew right away that I wanted to sing that song. It’s nostalgic and beautiful, and my parents mean everything to me.”

Despite feeling nervous in front of the crowd, Aiden stood bravely before his family and friends in Port St. Lucie, Florida, on March 23, where his parents, Kemorene and Kirkland Armstrong, renewed their vows with their three sons by their side.

At first, Aiden was visibly emotional, tears welling in his eyes. But with grace and strength, he wiped them away and found his voice, delivering a heartfelt and powerful rendition of the song.

“I was really emotional in the beginning,” Aiden recalled, “but then I just let it all out and focused on the music — and on my parents.”

The emotional impact of his performance was immediate. His mother, Kemorene, said, “As soon as he started singing, I was overcome with emotion. I could hear people crying all around me. I had to keep looking up to stop the tears from falling down my face. It was such a powerful, unforgettable moment.”

Aiden’s love for music shone through the performance. Though his voice trembled at the start, he soon grew more confident, delivering a performance that not only moved his family to tears but deeply resonated with viewers worldwide.

Touched by the authenticity of the moment, Calum Scott himself commented on the viral video: “Where is this kid so I can hug him right now?!”

Kemorene was stunned by the overwhelming response. “I didn’t expect this at all. Reading all the kind comments online has been unbelievable. I’ve cried so much — I just can’t believe the amount of love being shown to him.”

Now, Aiden is more inspired than ever. He hopes to pursue vocal training and dreams of one day meeting his musical idols — including Bruno Mars, Charlie Puth, and of course, Calum Scott.

What started as a touching gesture of love for his parents has become a viral moment that uplifted millions — and marked the beginning of a young talent’s journey toward something even bigger.
