At 94, this grandmother’s modeling talent has made her a social media sensation — see her stylish photos!

Emiko Toguchi, a 94-year-old Japanese grandmother, has captured the hearts of Instagram users with her striking modeling skills. Her rise to online fame came when she showcased outfits designed by her grandson, Tsinami Mori, a talented fashion designer specializing in traditional Japanese hand-weaving techniques known as saori-ori.

On her Instagram, Emiko regularly shares photos of herself dressed in Mori’s stylish creations, blending modern fashion with traditional artistry. Mori first discovered his passion for saori-ori seven years ago and turned it into his primary profession two years later, frequently incorporating the intricate weaving into his fashion collections.

Mori invited his grandmother to model not only to showcase his designs but also to spend meaningful time together. He hoped that by modeling, Emiko could “stay young at heart.” The response from the public was immediate — followers flooded her page with messages of admiration, encouragement, and love.

For Mori, seeing his grandmother step into the modeling world allowed her to experience many “firsts,” including wearing a bridal gown made just for her. Although Emiko has never married, seeing herself in the gown brought her joy and even a blush to her cheeks, a moment Mori said her late grandfather would have cherished from above.

“At first, I thought modeling was ridiculous for someone my age,” Emiko admitted. “I assumed it was only for young, beautiful people. But after trying it, I got used to it and started to enjoy the experience.”

Receiving compliments from strangers, hearing them call her “cool,” and seeing the inspiration she provides to others has given Emiko a new zest for life. Her journey proves that elegance, confidence, and joy know no age limits.
