A well-known TV presenter left fans stunned after sharing a playful childhood throwback — but can you figure out who it is?

Now one of Britain’s most familiar faces on television, the cheeky youngster in the photo is grinning from ear to ear. Though he looks miles away from the polished, suit-clad host we’re used to seeing today, that bright smile might give him away.

Before becoming a staple of prime-time entertainment, he actually began his career as an actor, appearing in shows like Skins and Casualty.

These days, he rubs shoulders with A-listers and fronts ITV’s smash-hit The Masked Singer. So… any guesses?

It’s Joel Dommett!

The 40-year-old comedian recently shared the sweet snap on Instagram, taken long before he became a stand-up star and household name. In the picture, he’s posing alongside his brother Ben, posting it with a birthday message:

“Happy birthday to my big bro! He still wears red trousers tbf.”

While his fashion sense has clearly evolved, that trademark grin hasn’t changed a bit.

Joel also made headlines recently after losing a bet to his friend and podcast co-host Ben Shephard — resulting in him getting his nipple pierced. The pair co-host the podcast The Business Men and have launched a men’s skincare line, Joel And Ben For Skin.

As Joel went through with the forfeit, he didn’t hide his discomfort, joking that he hoped the skincare brand would at least be a success. Meanwhile, Ben — 51 — found the whole situation hilarious.

The bet came after they tried to create the UK’s largest male skincare survey, with the public voting on who would face the piercing. Ben narrowly avoided it by just 2%.

The stunt followed Ben’s surprise run on The Masked Singer, where he was revealed as Conkers. He finished as runner-up behind Moth, who turned out to be Keisha Buchanan from Sugababes.
