Near Melbourne’s Epworth Hospital lives an ordinary cat named Elwood, who has become the hospital’s unofficial employee. For about a year, Elwood has been visiting the hospital building every day, sitting by the entrance, and greeting everyone who comes in and out — patients, nurses, and doctors alike.
Thanks to his kind nature and persistence, he quickly won the hearts of the hospital staff. People grew so attached to Elwood that they jokingly “hired” him, even creating a personalized ID card for him with the title “Security.”
This simple gesture lifted everyone’s spirits and turned Elwood into the hospital’s mascot.
