Sailors discovered a huge, green metal ball in the middle of the ocean. When they pulled it out of the water, they were shocked to realize what it was.

The sea was calm that day. The sun reflected off the water, and the ship glided confidently across the smooth surface. The crew was expecting a routine shift, but suddenly something strange appeared ahead.

A huge green sphere rose from the depths of the ocean. It seemed metallic, yet impossibly smooth and too perfectly shaped.

At first, the sailors thought it was a buoy or part of some research equipment lost during the storm. But the closer they got, the more alarming their situation became.

“Is that a mine?” one of the sailors whispered, clutching the handrails.

The captain raised his binoculars, peered at them for a long moment, and then frowned. Strange bumps were visible on the sphere’s surface, like tiny knots or raised dots. None of the instruments detected any radio signals, which was even more frightening.

The crew braced themselves for the worst. Silence fell on board. Everyone looked at each other—everyone knew it would be better if it turned out to be ordinary trash than something secret.

As they swam closer, they noticed lashings on the sides and raised protrusions. One of the sailors risked extending a boat hook and lightly tapped the surface. A dull metallic sound was heard, confirming their suspicion: there was something inside.

The sailors were shocked to find out what it was 😲😨

It was later discovered that it was a fragment of experimental oceanographic equipment. Similar balloons are installed to study currents and deep-sea flows.

They’re usually anchored and equipped with sensors. But a storm or technical error could have disrupted the system, and now this “ocean eye” was drifting in the open sea.

There was one odd thing, though. The body had no markings or numbers. It was pure green metal, as if it had been deliberately made anonymous.

The captain ordered the coordinates recorded and a report sent. But, as the sailors later admitted, at that moment, everyone had a fleeting thought: what if this wasn’t a scientific instrument at all, but something more serious, something that would never make it into the public record?

The sea, as always, has kept its secret.
