Jessica’s hands trembled around her bouquet, the scent of roses mingling with the aroma of incense as she walked slowly toward the altar. Soft morning light filtered through the stained-glass windows, casting shadows on the stone floor.
But despite all this, she saw only Adam, who was waiting for her, with an amazed smile on his lips, as if the whole world existed only for the two of them.
Then, halfway to the altar, a dull sound echoed through the church: the doors slammed shut. The air froze.
A tall, slender figure entered, dressed in an emerald dress that almost glowed in the light. It was Rachel, Adam’s ex. “Adam, you’re making a huge mistake,” she shouted, her voice cutting through the air like a knife.
Before Jessica could react, Rachel’s hand shot up like lightning and, in one motion, she ripped the penis from Jessica’s hand. A gasp of astonishment arose, followed by a profound, oppressive silence.
Jessica froze in place, a hot shame engulfing her. Her cheeks flushed, but before she could respond, she felt Adam wrap his arms around her, tight and protective. “Jess… look at me.”
And then, at that moment, time and space seemed to change. 😱😱

Jessica stood there, frozen, her eyes wide, as painful memories washed over her—the looks of contempt, the cruel laughter, the suppressed shame. She wanted to run, to disappear into the shadows.
But then two strong arms wrapped around her. The warm scent of cedar from Adam calmed her racing heart.
“Jess,” he whispered, his voice calm as an anchor in a storm. “Look at me.”
She looked into his eyes, no pity, no judgment, just pure love.
“Who do you love?” he asked, his voice echoing throughout the cathedral. “I love this woman. The one who faces everything with courage, the one who never hides her truth.”
The silence was broken. Applause broke out, full of support. Rachel, flushed with shame, turned and walked away, her steps sounding like defeat.

Jessica lowered her arms, trembling. The sun’s light fell on her bald head, and for the first time she felt whole, ready to be seen.
Adam kissed her forehead. “Now everyone will see the beauty I see in you every day.”
Promises were exchanged with new intensity, and the applause that followed their kiss was deafening.
That evening, Jessica whispered to Adam, “Rachel helped me.”
He smiled. “Oh, really?”
“She set me free.”
