For Jeremy Meeks, one ordinary mugshot changed the entire course of his life.
The former inmate—once dubbed the “world’s hottest felon”—has completely rewritten his story, leaving his past behind and building a fortune approaching $5 million.
And before you see what he looks like now, you might want to sit down.

Those unforgettable blue eyes
Jeremy Meeks went from viral mugshot sensation to global model, actor, and now author. Worldwide, he became known as the “hot felon.”
His rise began in 2014 when the Stockton Police Department posted his mugshot on Facebook after his arrest. The photo instantly exploded online thanks to his chiseled features and striking blue eyes.
At the time, the then–30-year-old forklift operator—with sharp cheekbones and a magnetic stare—was described as a “convicted felon arrested on weapons charges.”
Within hours, the booking photo had gathered more than 15,000 likes and nearly 4,000 comments. Most were from women stunned by his looks. His unique mixed features made him stand out in ways no one expected.
According to a police spokesperson, Meeks’ mugshot received more attention than anything the department had ever posted.

A brutal childhood
Few could have guessed that a man facing multiple gun-related charges would later land million-dollar deals and walk runways for luxury brands.
Meeks’ early life was a world away from fame. Born on February 7, 1984, he has spoken openly about his traumatic childhood. “Both of my parents were heroin addicts. I was a heroin baby… My childhood was very dark,” he shared in a 2019 interview. “My dad committed a murder when I was nine months old.”
His difficult upbringing led him into years of legal trouble—everything from theft to forgery. What started as typical teenage rule-breaking escalated quickly. He left home in 10th grade, and just two months after turning 18, he was charged with felony auto theft.
His 2014 arrest resulted in a 27-month prison sentence—but also became the turning point of his life.
By the time he was released in 2016, modeling agencies were already lining up. After signing with White Cross Management, he told ABC News, “I’m finally in a place where I can take care of my family and truly change my life.” And he did.

Now 41 years old
Today, at 41, Meeks has modeled for elite designers like Tommy Hilfiger and Philipp Plein, acted in films including True to the Game 2 and 3, Trigger, and Secret Society, and even launched his own clothing line after securing a $15 million deal with Fashion Concept GmbH.
In 2024, he released his autobiography, Model Citizen: The Autobiography of Jeremy Meeks. “I’m ready to be vulnerable, to tell my whole story, and hope people connect with it,” he said.
Away from the spotlight, Meeks is a devoted father to two sons: Jayden, from his relationship with Topshop heiress Chloe Green, and Jeremy Jr., from his marriage to Melissa.

By 2024, he confirmed to People that he was single and focusing on himself.
At 41, the man once known as the “world’s hottest felon” continues to prove that a second chance can lead to an extraordinary transformation. His journey—from prison to Paris Fashion Week—remains one of the most unexpected reinventions in modern celebrity history.
