Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, has shared a heartfelt tribute to her baby girl Codi Dreaux, who tragically passed away at just 10 months old. Reflecting on her loss after a memorial service held over the weekend, Cori wrote, “I’m trusting God, but that doesn’t mean it makes sense to me.”
The 26-year-old took to Instagram on Sunday to post a series of touching photos honoring her daughter, whom she shared with her fiancé, photographer Wayne Deuce, 33. The carousel included intimate moments, from Cori sitting quietly at Codi’s gravesite to embracing loved ones, as well as sweet cartoon illustrations of her little girl.

Codi died on January 26 after spending months in a neonatal intensive care unit. Cori had revealed the heartbreaking news on January 31, explaining that her daughter had been born three months premature and remained in the NICU until she was discharged shortly before her passing.
In her latest tribute, Cori captioned the post, “Part of me went with you, my girl for life,” alongside clips from an emotional speech she delivered at Saturday’s memorial service.

“I don’t understand why this happened,” she said through tears. “I’m trusting God, but that doesn’t mean it makes sense to me. Some days I wonder if this world was just too cruel for someone as pure as you. Other days, I ask myself how I’m supposed to live in a world where you’re not in my arms, Codi.”
The grieving mother spoke about the future moments she will never get to share with her daughter. “I’m devastated knowing I didn’t get the time to teach you everything I wanted to,” she said. “I wanted to show you how to be kind in a hard world, how to be brave when life feels unfair, and how to love yourself fiercely.”
She continued, listing milestones she had dreamed of witnessing: “I wanted to see you take your first steps, celebrate your first birthday, walk you into your first day of school. I wanted to be there for your victories, your heartbreaks, your questions — every little moment in between.”

Adding a tender touch of humor, Cori said, “I wanted to hear about your first crush — and secretly hope you wouldn’t change them every week like I did.”
Earlier, Cori had posted a photo of the memorial program on her Instagram Stories with the caption, “Fly high perfect girl.”

Wayne Deuce also shared his grief publicly, writing on Instagram, “Forever daddy’s pretty girl. I love you so much Codi Dreaux & I will never forget you. #LongLiveCodiDreaux.” In a previous message, he added, “I’ve been the saddest since you left me, but I know you’re at peace. Daddy will always love you. My baby.”
When announcing Codi’s passing last month, Cori shared a black-and-white photo of herself holding her daughter and wrote, “Monday I lost the love of my life. My Codi.”

Cori has previously spoken about complications during her pregnancy, including HELLP syndrome — a severe form of preeclampsia. Living with lupus herself, she described her pregnancy as high-risk.
Cori is the youngest child of Snoop Dogg and his wife, Shante Broadus. The rapper is also father to sons Corde and Cordell with Shante, as well as son Julian from a previous relationship.
